I am a phd candidate in the Departments of Sociology and Rural sociology at UW Madison. My dissertation research took me to Russia where I traced the agricultural supply chains of major fast food companies. Favorite foods: eggplant, swiss chard, blueberries, slow-cooked oatmeal, french toast made from challah with real maple syrup, my grandma's noodle kugel, chinese dishes that include hoisin sauce, and hot tamales (unless those don't count as food).
